Blood orange cake (gluten-free)


Here is my recipe for gluten-free blood orange cake. It’s extra moist and tender.

gluten free

  • 100g non-dairy milk
  • 1 tbsp apple vinegar
  • 200g almond flour
  • 100g rice flour
  • 50g cornstarch
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 125g neutral oil
  • 250g greek soja yogurt
  • Zest of 2 blood oranges
  • Juice of 1 orange
  • 1 tsp liquid vanilla
  • 30ml rhum ((optional))
  1. Preheat oven at 180°C (350°F)

  2. Stir the non-dairy milk with apple vinegar.

  3. In another bowl, stir almond flour, rice flour, cornstarch, baking soda and baking power all together. Then ad yogurt, zest, juice and liquid vanilla to the mixture.

  4. Ad the mixture of non-dairy milk and apple vinegar and stir. Then ad oil. Stir until well combine.

  5. Bake for 30min.

Then I added a blood orange glaze, made with icing sugar and blood orange juice. Then I put caramelized oranges on top (you can also put fresh :)).
